Ingredients
- 1kg chicken breast, cut into tenderloin sizes
- 1 ½ cups sesame seeds
- 3 eggs
- ½ cup flour (we used buckwheat)
- 1 teaspoon garlic powder
- 1 teaspoon salt
- Oil or butter for pan frying
Method
- Mix the flour with the garlic and salt in a bowl.
- In a second bowl, crack the eggs and whisk lightly
- In a third bowl, add the sesame seeds.
- With each strip of chicken first toss in the flour, then the egg then the sesame seeds and place on a tray. Repeat with remaining strips until they’re all done.
- Heat a frypan to medium-hot. Add a little olive oil or butter and pan fry for a few minutes on each side until the sesames seeds just begin to turn golden and the chicken in just cooked through. Over cooking will dry the chicken out.
- Season with salt to taste.
- Serve with a big salad or steamed vegetables.
Serving suggestion: We mixed ours up in a mango and avocado salad with lots of fresh mint. Very yum!
