Fathead Pizza
A low-carb alternative to your pizza bases, this fathead pizza makes a great keto alternative to your repertoire.
Perfect for an easy mid-week meal or weekend treat!
Ingredients:
- 1 1/2 cups mozzarella
- 2 tablespoon cream cheese
- 1 egg
- 1 cup almond meal
- 1 pinch salt
Plus the pizza toppings of your choice.
I’ve used diced bacon and camembert
Method:
- Preheat oven to 180c
- Mix 1 1/2 cups mozzarella grated cheese and 2 tablespoons of cream cheese into a microwave safe bowl
- Put into microwave for 30sec bursts stirring in between until melted.
- Once melted add 1 egg into it and mix
- Add dry ingredients – almond meal & pinch salt and mix together to make your dough. * I like to put baking paper onto my pizza tray, place my dough onto the baking tray, then get a separate sheet of baking paper, place it on top and then press down on the dough and move it around in between the two layers of paper to shape the base.
- Bake in oven for 10 minutes or until slightly golden
- Spread with tomato paste & add toppings.
- Return to oven for 5 minutes to grill toppings and enjoy!
