Oumas’ Chicken Soup is perfect for the cooler weather or for when you are feeling a little blue. Nothing’s better than grandma’s chicken soup. Try it out or let us know what your favourite recipe from grandma is in the comments below.
Ingredients:
- 1 whole chicken
- 2 carrots
- 2 packets of noodles
- 2 cans of condensed chicken soup
Method:
Chicken:
- Preheat oven 180°
- Place chicken in oven dish and bake for 1 hour 30 minutes
- Ensure juices are running clear or cook for a bit longer depending on the size of the chicken
Soup:
- Shred chicken
- Grate 2 carrots
- Place chicken, carrots, 2 cans of condensed chicken soup, 2 packets of 2 minute noodles (& any other vegetables you desire) into the slow cooker
- Fill slow cooker half with water
- Leave on high for 4 hours or low for 6 hours.
- Season to taste & serve with bread.
