Chop Suey is generally considered an American/Chinese cuisine consisting of meat and eggs, cooked quickly with veges bound in a starch-thickened sauce. In this case we’ve used vermicelli with diced beef. Give it a whirl and let us know what you think!

Ingredients:

  • 500g Deagon Bulk Meats diced beef
  • 4 garlic cloves – chopped
  • 1/2 cup soy sauce
  • 250g vermicelli
  • 1-2 cups of mixed vegetables (optional – use a packet mix for a quick & easy meal)


Chop Suey

Method:

  1. Add vermicelli to hot water & let it sit until the rice noodles thicken.
  2. Drain & set aside vermicelli.
  3. Cook vegetables as per packet instructions.
  4. Fry the diced beef (or chicken, lamb or pork) until lightly brown.
  5. Add chopped garlic & cook until soft.
  6. Roughly cut up your vermicelli with kitchen scissors.
  7. Add vermicelli to the fry pan.
  8. Add 1/2 cup of soy sauce & leave until soaked.
  9. Stir in vegetables.
  10. Serve & enjoy.
