This Steak Portobello Mushroom Burger is just delish! Combine with some wedges or chips and your choice of salad and you’ve got yourself a winning burger to munch on.

Portobello Mushroom Burger

Ingredients:

Method:

  1. Whisk together the egg, flour & milk in a medium bowl, until smooth.
  2. Place the Herb & Garlic Meat Rub in a separate bowl.
  3. Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat.
  4. Dip the mushrooms in the batter, then in the Herb & Garlic Meat Rub pressing firmly to coat.
  5. Cook for 3 minutes each side or until golden. Transfer to a plate lined with a paper towel.
  6. Meanwhile, preheat the grill on high.
  7. Place the Turkish bread or bun of your choice, cut-side up, on a baking tray.
  8. Cook under the grill until toasted.
  9. Cook steaks for 30 seconds each side.
  10. Divide the Turkish bread or bun of your choice, bases among the serving plates.
  11. Apply a generous topping of the Outback Chutney. Top with the salad leaves, cucumber, (or any toppings you choose), mushrooms and the bread roll tops.
  12. Dig in & enjoy!
