Steak Portobello Mushroom Burgers

This Steak Portobello Mushroom Burger is just delish! Combine with some wedges or chips and your choice of salad and you’ve got yourself a winning burger to munch on.

Ingredients:
- Deagon Bulk Meats BBQ Steaks
- 1/2 cup plain flour
- 1/4 cup milk
- 1/2 cup Deagon Bulk Meats Meat Rub – Herb & Garlic
- 2 Tbs Olive Oil
- Large Portobello Mushrooms, stems trimmed
- Turkish bread, halved
- 60g Baby Rocket Leaves
- Thinly sliced cucumber
- Deagon Bulk Meats Outback Chutney
Method:
- Whisk together the egg, flour & milk in a medium bowl, until smooth.
- Place the Herb & Garlic Meat Rub in a separate bowl.
- Heat oil in a large frying pan over medium-high heat.
- Dip the mushrooms in the batter, then in the Herb & Garlic Meat Rub pressing firmly to coat.
- Cook for 3 minutes each side or until golden. Transfer to a plate lined with a paper towel.
- Meanwhile, preheat the grill on high.
- Place the Turkish bread or bun of your choice, cut-side up, on a baking tray.
- Cook under the grill until toasted.
- Cook steaks for 30 seconds each side.
- Divide the Turkish bread or bun of your choice, bases among the serving plates.
- Apply a generous topping of the Outback Chutney. Top with the salad leaves, cucumber, (or any toppings you choose), mushrooms and the bread roll tops.
- Dig in & enjoy!
