Sweet & savoury pork chops

A treat for your taste buds, this juxtaposition of sweet and savoury flavours will have you wanting more!


  • 4 pork loin chops
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1 large onion, sliced
  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 1 tablespoon apple cider vinegar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1  can diced tomatoes, {400 g}
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 250g packet egg noodle pasta


  1. Heat 1 tbs olive oil on high in skillet or large frypan.
  2. Sprinkle pork chops with salt & pepper, cook for 4 minutes, turning once.
  3. Transfer meat to a plate.
  4. Heat 1 tbs olive oil in skillet, add sliced onion and cook on medium high heat for 5 minutes.
  5. Add paprika and crushed garlic to pan, stir through for 30 seconds.
  6. Add to pan apple cider vinegar, water and can of diced tomatoes, stir well to combine.
  7. Return chops to pan and simmer for 15 minutes.
  8. Meanwhile, cook pasta as directed.
  9. Remove chops from sauce and slice.
  10. Add sour cream to tomato sauce and mix in pan.
  11. Drain pasta, toss in butter and chopped parsley.
  12. Layer pasta, sliced pork and spoon over sauce.
